We’d like to introduce you to Pauline, a truly special member of our community. Pauline first learned about our volunteer opportunities while visiting our food pantry. She’s on Social Security Disability and shared that by the third week of the month, she’s often struggling financially. With only $15 in food stamps each month, she can afford little more than a loaf of bread and a gallon of milk — which is why she relies on our food pantry to make ends meet.

What touched us the most about Pauline’s story is that, despite facing her own challenges, she chose to give back. After receiving help from Good Neighbor House when she needed it most, Pauline felt inspired to become a volunteer. She said, "The service here is truly great. When they gave to me, it made me want to give back."
Her favorite part of volunteering is seeing the smile on someone’s face when she loads up their car with the food they need. Pauline knows that feeling all too well, and it’s that connection to others in need that keeps her coming back to serve.
What she loves about Good Neighbor House is that we don’t just provide food — we also offer basic necessities like toilet paper, paper towels, dish soap, diapers, formula, and even dog food. Pauline says, "Good Neighbor House thinks about everything that people may need!"
Pauline, thank you for being YOU! 💙 We are so grateful for your generosity, your heart, and the impact you make in our community. We love you, and we’re lucky to have you as part of our family!
