Furniture Department

  • Referring agency personnel MUST call Good Neighbor House on Tuesday starting at 3PM to reserve furniture items for their clients.
  • Referring agency MUST fax or e-mail a referral to Good Neighbor House specifying the items their client has reserved.
  • Clients MUST pick-up their furniture items on Wednesday between the hours of 10AM and 2PM.
  • Clients MUST bring their own transportation to haul the furniture and help to load.
  • Clients will need their photo ID as well as Social Security Cards for all dependents.
  • Clients are eligible to receive 2 large furniture items (such as bed, dresser, sofa, etc...) and 2 small items (such as end tables, lamps, etc...) one time per year.

Furniture Donation Procedures

If you have furniture that you are considering replacing, please contact us. Most of the clients we serve are getting housing after being homeless so the basic furniture items are needed such as beds, dressers, sofas, chairs, tables and chairs, etc...  We accept used furniture in good condition. Your furniture will be greatly appreciated by those whom we serve.

  • The GNH volunteers pick-up furniture donations every Tuesday.
  • Furniture must be in good or useable condition without requiring any repair as we do not have facilities for repair.
  • We are not able pick-up or distribute electrical or gas appliances.
  • A Donation receipt is available upon request.
